Series 1600

The newest member of our Power Family is clearly showing its strong heritage. The MTU Series 1600 brings MTU power, MTU technology and MTU reliability to the power range from 249 to 668 kw. And with that, the traditional benefits of MTU engines are now also available in the lower power range:
- Series 1600 engines run smoothly and with a minimal amount of Vibration.
- the process of designing gensets easier across a wide power range, while at the same time adhering to various emissions standards
- The maintenance-friendly engine design minimizes downtime and guarantees the highest level of availability
- Low life cycle costs ensure that operations are efficient over the longterm, making Series 1600 engines extremely appealing from a financial perspective considering their low fuel consumption and maintenance costs.
- The MTU Series 1600 sets standards with regard to exhaust emissions, especially when it comes to the emissions- optimized version (NOx ≤ 1500 mg/m3N).

Engine-generator set is designed and manufactured in facilities certified to standards ISO 9001:2008 and ISO 14001:2004

Permissible average power output during 24 hours of operation is approved up to 75%.
